And yes you can fully control it, if you start spraying while its locked onto head you can still pull down if that's what you mean.
It might have a slight amount of resistance, but its pretty damn easy to transition from headlock to spray down.
Or you can just use aimkey where it only locks while button is pressed and stops when released.
