Can't be bothered to find my old thread wixSanic

But I travel extremely frequently (13 hour flights), and having a PC would be a pain to carry around. Whilst I could easily store a laptop in a hand held luggage.

I mean, my main laptop has a gtx1080, so it can run games like PUBG butter smooth VaultBoy

But sure you could use a program like synergy and connect to it, but that is terrible for gaming.

It depends. If your laptop has an HDMI in port then yes if it's only output then no.

This one. Most laptops don’t have input. Just buy an external display/monitor instead.

That is the exact question I'm facing.

On the MSI GT73VR 7RF TITAN PRO's description, it says "- HDMI: 1 (4K output @60Hz)". Does that mean it can only output and not input?

On the smaller laptop (MSI GL62M 7RDX 1868)'s description, it says: "- HDMI: 1 (v1.4) 4k @30hz"...

Is that information enough to tell if I'm able to use it as an external monitor?

Fair enough. Is there a brand/model which you would recommend as an external monitor?
I don't need 120Hz, I just need a solid 1080p screen.

you could probably try out software sollutions, as in having the second laptop run a software over lan/wifi to make it function as a second display ( i believe there should be something like this?)
But it will not be what you expect, and have delays which may be off putting
